After Heidi setteles in a little. She starts going up the mountain evreyday with Peter the boy that takes Grandpa's goats up the mountain together they start to beome freinds Heidi and Peter. Heidi would always be amazed by the mountains Peter on the other hand had done this for a while so he wasn't as amazed as Heidi. But then later on Dete comes back up the mountain to get Heidi and deliver her into Frankfurt to live with a rich family and to entertain Clara. Heidi was held against her will as she loved Grandpa and they had been living together for a few years. The mood of the story is sadness because Heidi is being held against her will to leave grandpa.
